Madewell Black Friday 2026: Denim First, Details Pending

Madewell Black Friday 2026 has no announced offer yet, so last year's coverage is context, not a forecast. I would watch core denim and cold-weather layers, then compare the live sale before buying.

A name rooted in workwear

Madewell's name carries a split history I find worth knowing: Dan Nosowitz writes that his great-grandfather started a New England workwear company called Madewell in 1937, and that J.Crew relaunched a women's clothing company with the same name and logo in 2006. The first company made jeans, dungarees and bib overalls for New England factories and fisheries. I like beginning with denim because the category is rooted in the label's earliest story, not just in this season's trends.

Page Six's Nov. 28, 2025 report said Madewell's Black Friday offer reached 40% off nearly everything, with the already-on-sale section up to 70%; the page featured jeans, coats and knitwear. It did not give an end date, early-access terms or detailed exclusions, so I would treat that report as a snapshot, not a promise. For Madewell Black Friday 2026, nothing is announced yet as of Nov. 1; Black Friday falls Nov. 27 and Cyber Monday Nov. 30. I would use the sections below to separate denim from warmer layers and check for a live offer before buying.

Denim worth watching early

I would put The Wide Leg Corduroy Pants and The Jules Slim Straight Leg Jeans at the top of my early watch list. The corduroy pair has a high rise and 30-inch inseam in stretch corduroy; the Jules is mid-rise with a slim straight ankle cut and a 27.5-inch inseam. That gives me two different rises and leg shapes to check before sale day. I would note my preferred wash and size now, then buy early only if that exact fit is hard to replace.

Cotton layers to watch

I would keep The Arden Crewneck Cotton Sweater and The Easy Plaid Flannel Button Up Shirt on my watch list rather than buying them early. The Arden is 100% cotton with a boxy fit; the flannel is lightweight 100% cotton with a chest patch pocket. Both read as useful cotton layers, but I would wait to see whether this year's event includes them before spending. Keep the exact colors and sizes handy so a real sale does not turn into a rushed substitute.

Cold weather layers, later

The Simone Cocoon Coat in Boiled Wool and Shrunken Leather Zip Jacket are the warmer pieces I would price-check closer to the event. The coat is full-length 100% wool with a convertible collar, while the leather jacket is lined and has front zip pockets. I would compare the exact color and size only after a live offer appears, then check return terms before buying. For either layer, I would compare today's listing with the actual sale price rather than treating last year as a forecast.
